About Percy

Percy is an award winning fine bookbinder and paper artist, living and working in Hong Kong. In 2010, to rediscover herself and her passion Percy took her first fine binding class with Monique Lallier at the American Academy of Bookbinding, she fell in love with the craftmanship of bookbinding on the first day and has been passionately using her hands to make beautiful books and papercuttings since.
In 2011, she exhibited her works in “Paper Tales”, an exhibition featuring delicate paper works organised by Youth Arts Foundation and Swire Island East. In 2016, Percy collaborated with other local artist on a book arts project for Gallery Mur Nomade. This collaborative project was purchased by Tai Kwun and exhibited at Art Basel 2017. Percy's artist book “The Staircase” was awarded an honourable mention at Art of the Book 2018 competition and exhibition in Canada. Percy's stone veneer binding "Ame Ni Mo Makezu" was awarded the Harmatan Leather Award for Forwarding at Society of Bookbinders 2019 International competition.
Percy's works have been exhibited in Hong Kong, Macao, Singapore, USA, Canada, UK, France & The Netherlands. She has taught workshops in Hong Kong & Macao at different institutions, namely The Hong Kong University, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, PolyU HKCC, Lingnan University & Tai Kwun. Her works have been featured in many publications including but not limited to Apple Daily, Cosmopolitan, East Touch & Timeout HK.
